Her work has focused on increasing student engagement, strengthening instructional practice, and supporting schools in creating meaningful, high-quality learning experiences.

Disrupting Miseducation

In 2020, Dr. Hill founded the Academy of Scholars Leadership and Learning Center with a bold purpose: to disrupt the miseducation of students by creating a safe, rigorous, and relationship-centered learning environment.

She believes education should do more than prepare students to pass standardized tests. It should prepare them to think critically, lead confidently, build responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

At the Academy of Scholars, students experience:

  • Portfolio-based assessment rather than test-driven instruction

  • Strong parent partnership and community engagement

  • Financial literacy and entrepreneurship education

  • STEM learning rooted in sustainability and real-world application

  • Leadership development and civic responsibility

Her mission is to build a village that supports learners as they explore their interests, nurture their talents, and achieve both academic and personal goals.
